About Amber Huntzinger; LSW, MSW

Hey, I’m Amber! I’m a Licensed Social Worker who genuinely believes that therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating. I became a therapist because I love getting to know people beyond a diagnosis and helping them make sense of the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped who they are.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Ohio University in 2018 and my Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2023, with a focus on mental health and trauma. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and through many different seasons of life. 

As a therapist, I’m warm, curious, a little quirky, and very much a real person in the room with you. I value authenticity and want my clients to feel like they can bring their whole selves to therapy, not a polished version they think they’re supposed to be.

Outside of the therapist chair, I’m still very much me. I love my pets, getting lost in a good book, gardening, and finding little ways to make life more colorful. And yes, the colorful hair tends to stick around. 😊

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. 

You just have to show up as you are.
